Mayor Schadenford and Federal Money

TRAWNA -- (GOSH News Services) -- The Foxy Wine News Network North has just learned that the amount of money from the Harpy Federal Government for the eastern extension of subway construction through to Sheppard Avenue was misstated.

It was originally to be $600 million, but then the announcement proper said it was $660 million. This morning, a further correction was appended by the Ministry of Satanic Devices: the corrected figure is actually $666 million, to be paid in 13 annual installments.

And once the curse of the divisionary Downtown Relief Line has been lifted, it is expected that this $666 million will be matched by the City of Toronto, under its new Mayor, Dean Fred Tudor in 2015, thus allowing completion to the Zoo for Political Animals.

City of Toronto to call for volunteer drivers...

TRAWNA – (GOSH WIRE NEWS SERVICES) – In a stunning announcement said to be made after noon Sunday (or possibly Monday after the TSX has closed) the City of Toronto will be requesting unpaid volunteer drivers to escort Mayor Schadenford within the city boundaries. This is in response to his stated preference while at Taste of the Danforth: "I'm not driving. I'm not driving. I'm not driving." ....

Top investigative reporter Brett Grimsby has been following this story for days now, and he files his report based on several interviews with Miffed Mole, the collective name for our sources who are familiar with the situation, and who spoke to him on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to divulge details while they were very close to the centre of discussions and while the matter under consideration had not yet been finalized or announced to the public. While the decisions may or may not have been finalized internally, and while an announcement on the matter may or may not be imminent, possibly within the next day or two, that specific timeline is not really known. Sources should not be held responsible for the speculative and/or playful treatment of their research and/or disclosures.

Grimsby has learned that the volunteer drivers must own their own SUV, and be available for a 24/7 routine. Drivers will work no more than 4 hour shifts.

Certain protocols would be laid down:

-there must be no talking to the Mayor unless he talks first (his responses to the GPS voice do not count);

-the only topics for discussion are football and garbage collecting (mention of public transit will be grounds for instant dismissal);

-all the rules of the road must be observed (but drivers may turn over the pages of the Mayor's reports while idling at intersections).

For his part, the Mayor will donate his SUV to a school football charity.

A special vetting team has been assembled to check out the volunteer drivers. Perks for volunteer drivers will include a free tour of City Hall, a special seat at Council meetings, and a mask to use while driving.

Schadenford plunges like Icarus...

Shelley Carroll tweets (July 16): "The mayor just learned for the first time that the LRT is not on a road."

TRAWNA (GOSH News Services) -- The Foxy Wine News Network North today has learned that Toronto Mayor Rob Ford (aka Schadenford by friends and foe alike) has had his name entered into the Harper Government's frenemy list.

Top investigative reporter Brett Grimsby, who has been following the story, files this report:

"Foxy, the PMO had decided on a disruptive strategy for Rob Ford, the sometime-onetime Mayor of Toronto. The strategy is Project Obfuscation, and the word was deliberately chosen by the Secretary of the PMO because neither Schadenford nor his brother would know what the term means.

"The policy of obfuscation is deliberate, much like Project Traveller which sought out videos of fellow travellers and users. It doesn't take much to set off Schadenford, and the PMO went after him in that manner. While federal money is available for municipal infrastructure, there is no real indication that money is available for subways or for LRTs. Subways if necesaary, but not necessarily subways, and only after the Sheppard LRT issue is dead. Minister Flaherty encouraged Schadenford to rip out roads for the LRT, but only if necessary. At Tuesday's Toronto Council meeting someone showed a map to Schadenford, showing that the LRT is not on a street."
